Donor FAQ
Short answers, with an emphasis on boundaries.
Is this a working service?
No. It is a progress overview with three fictional demos: My Buddy, Neuro Buddy and BC3. Nothing here is ready for real people's records.
Does this page collect anything?
Not by the showcase. It does not ask for personal information, set tracking cookies, use analytics or store demo choices, and it has no forms or accounts. The hosting provider may set a technical cookie and process ordinary connection data. We have not verified the provider's log policy, so no zero-log promise is made. Demos reset when you leave.
Does anything record audio or video?
No. The consent simulator is a mock with a manual clock. Nothing uses a microphone or records.
Is there a read-aloud option?
Yes, optional. Listen, Slower and Stop buttons speak fixed page text using only a voice your browser reports as on-device. It starts only when you click, and stays off if no on-device voice is confirmed. Browsers report this differently, so we cannot guarantee it for every device. It is not voice navigation and does not listen to you.
Is anything verified or certified?
No. Third-party certification and smart contracts are not built.
Is the CLARITY legislation the same as the Clery Act?
No. CLARITY refers to proposed digital-asset legislation. The Clery Act is a separate US campus safety law.
Where are the newer demos?
They are private and not on the older public prototype sites.
Can I donate?
Yes, through the owner-supplied Bully Buddy page: Support the work on Givebutter (opens Givebutter in a new tab).
The Givebutter page is supplied by the owner, Bully Buddy LLC, and lists BC3, Equity, Neuro, Safety, Pilot and Technology campaigns.
Support goes to Bully Buddy LLC's development and community work. This site does not process money; Givebutter handles any gift. We do not claim tax deductibility, nonprofit status or fiscal sponsorship, and support is not an investment and carries no return.
